User Guide

Everything Peacekeeper can do, briefly explained.

Setup

Add Peacekeeper to your server using the invite link on the homepage. It needs Administrator permission to function fully. Once it joins, it posts a welcome message with a link to the dashboard.

Setup happens in the web dashboard at pkbotportal.cc/dashboard.html. Log in with Discord, pick your server, and a first-time setup wizard walks you through log channels, your mod role, and one-click protection in about a minute. Running /setup in Discord points you to the same place.

Dashboard

PANEL The web dashboard lets you configure every feature without slash commands. It includes Overview (server stats), Health Check (bot status), Analytics (message/member charts), and Audit Log (who changed what in the panel).

Multiple admins can use the dashboard simultaneously. Changes save instantly and the bot picks them up within seconds.

Warns, Bans & Kicks

COMMANDS /mod warn /mod ban /mod kick /mod unban

Every mod action creates a numbered case with the moderator's name, reason, and timestamp. The target user gets a DM with the server name, reason, case number, and expiry (if timed).

Cases are searchable from the panel under Cases & Tools, or via /mod cases search. You can also use Member Lookup on the panel to see a user's full history.

Mutes & Timeouts

COMMANDS /mod timeout 2h /mod mute 2h /mod unmute

Timeout uses Discord's native timeout. The user can't type, react, or join voice. Auto-expires.

Mute uses a configurable mute role. Set the role in the panel under Moderation > Mute Role. Timed mutes auto-remove the role when the duration expires (checked every 30 seconds). Use /mod unmute to lift early.

Both types create a case and DM the user.

Case System

COMMANDS /mod cases search /mod cases view /mod cases global /mod cases evidence /mod cases deny-reason /mod note

PANEL Cases & Tools > Cases tab with member lookup, evidence management, and global history.

Every warn, ban, kick, mute, timeout, softban, and note creates a numbered case with the moderator's name, reason, and timestamp. All cases are stored globally - /mod cases global @member shows a member's full history across every server using Peacekeeper, not just yours.

Evidence requirement: Staff have 24 hours to attach a screenshot or URL using /mod cases evidence [case_id] [url] or the panel. Cases without evidence on warn/ban/kick/mute/timeout/softban are automatically revoked after the deadline and the moderator is notified by DM. This keeps your case history accurate and accountable.

For age verification denials, a deny reason is required and is stored in the case so partners and staff can see the full history.

AutoMod

PANEL Protection > AutoMod. COMMANDS /automod

Rule-based message filtering. Each rule type can be independently enabled with its own action (delete, warn, mute, timeout, kick, ban):

  • Invite links - blocks Discord invite links
  • External links - blocks links outside a whitelist
  • Bad words - custom word/phrase blacklist with wildcard matching
  • Mass mentions - limits mentions per message
  • Caps lock - blocks excessive capitalization
  • Spam / repeated messages - detects flooding
  • Emoji spam - limits emoji per message
  • Zalgo text - blocks glitch/corrupted text

Each rule has per-channel and per-role exemptions. The gear icon on each rule opens its detailed config.

Discord Native AutoMod

PANEL Moderation > Discord AutoMod. COMMANDS /discordautomod list /discordautomod create

Create and manage Discord's server-side AutoMod rules directly from the Peacekeeper panel. These rules run at the Discord level before messages reach any bot - faster and more reliable than bot-side filtering. Creating any rule earns your server the official Uses Discord AutoMod badge.

Five rule types available: Block Mention Spam (max mentions per message with raid protection), Block Commonly Flagged Words (Discord's profanity/sexual/slur presets), Block Suspected Spam (Discord built-in spam detection), Block Custom Words (your own keyword list with wildcards), and Block Profile Keywords (filter display names and bios). Each rule can block, alert to a channel, and optionally timeout the member. Exempt specific roles and channels per rule.

The PK-managed section lets you toggle standard rules on/off and click Sync - Peacekeeper creates and maintains the Discord rules for you automatically.

Scam Filter

PANEL Protection > Scam Filter

Staff-fed pattern library that catches known scam bots, phishing links, and malicious URLs. Add, remove, and view patterns from the panel. Messages matching a pattern are deleted and the user is actioned.

Honeypot Channels

PANEL Protection > Honeypot

Designate channels as traps. Any message posted in a honeypot channel triggers instant punishment (ban/kick/mute). Useful for catching bots and raiders that spam every channel they can see. Legitimate users won't post in a channel named "do not post here."

Anti-Nuke

PANEL Moderation > Raid, Lockdown & Anti-Nuke

Monitors Discord's audit log for mass destructive actions. If someone bans, kicks, deletes channels, or deletes roles faster than your configured thresholds (e.g. 5 bans in 10 seconds), Peacekeeper strips all their roles and optionally bans them.

The server owner is always exempt. You can add trusted roles that bypass detection. Configurable thresholds per action type, detection window, and punishment (strip only or strip + ban).

Infraction Points

PANEL Content & Support > Infraction Points. COMMANDS /infractions add /infractions thresholds

Point-based warning system. Staff add points to a user with a reason. When a member hits a configured threshold, an automatic action fires (mute, kick, or ban). Points can decay over time.

Lockdown

COMMANDS /lockdown /unlock

Instantly locks the current channel or the entire server by removing send-message permissions from @everyone. Use /unlock to restore. Useful during raids or emergencies.

Event Logging

PANEL Server > Logging

28 individual event types, each routed to its own channel. If no channel is set for an event, it's not logged. No flooding, no defaults, full control. Event types include:

  • Moderation - warns, bans, kicks, mutes, timeouts, unmutes, mod notes, automod triggers, scam filter
  • Messages - edits, deletes (shows who deleted: Peacekeeper, a mod, or self-delete), bulk deletes
  • Members - joins (with invite code + inviter), leaves (with roles held), role changes, nickname changes, avatar changes, username changes, bans, unbans
  • Voice - joins, leaves, moves (shows who moved them if a mod did it)
  • Server - channel create/delete, role create/delete, invite create

Every embed includes the actor's avatar, name, and ID. Admin actions show who performed them (pulled from Discord's audit log). Ignored channels can be set to exclude bot-spam channels.

Reaction Roles

PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles > Reaction

Full embed-editor builder. Design the embed (title, description, color, images), pick reaction or button style, add unlimited emoji-to-role bindings. Three behavior modes: Toggle (add/remove), Unique (one role per user), Verify (grant only). Supports max-roles-per-user caps.

Active messages listed with Edit (loads config back, edits the live message) and Delete. Emoji resolver handles unicode characters, Discord shortcodes (e.g. :shield:), and custom server emojis.

Auto-Role

PANEL Roles > Auto-Role

Automatically assign roles to new members when they join. Pick one or more roles, set an optional delay (useful for bypassing Discord's membership screening), and toggle whether bots should be skipped.

Self-Assign Roles

PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles (subtabs: Reaction, Color, Location, Role Perks)

Multiple self-assign systems: reaction roles (above), color role picker, location/region roles (continent-based with emoji reactions), and a pronoun picker builder. Each posts an embed with interactive controls for members to self-assign.

Sticky Roles

PANEL Roles > Sticky Roles

When a member leaves and rejoins, their roles are automatically restored. Toggle "sticky all" or pick specific roles. Peacekeeper saves the member's non-managed roles on leave and re-applies them on rejoin, respecting the role hierarchy.

Color Roles

PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles > Color

Members pick a color from a posted panel. Each color is mapped to a role. Selecting a new color removes the old one. Can be restricted to boosters only.

Welcome & Goodbye

PANEL Community > Welcome (subtabs: Welcome & Goodbye, Welcome DM)

Configurable welcome and goodbye messages with embed support and placeholders ({user}, {username}, {server}, {member_count}). Optional welcome card/banner (PIL-rendered image with custom background, accent color, name text). Welcome DM sends a private message to new members.

Invite Tracking

PANEL Community > Invites

Tracks which invite code each member used to join, who created that invite, and what happened after (still here, left, rejoined). Dashboard with stats (tracked joins, retention rate, new accounts), inviter leaderboard, active invite codes with Revoke, searchable join history, and CSV export. Flags new accounts (under 7 days old).

Levels & XP

PANEL Community > Levels & XP. COMMANDS /levels rank /levels leaderboard /levels prestige /levels import_mee6

Message and voice XP with full control:

  • Level curve multiplier to tune pacing
  • Per-role and per-channel XP multipliers, global event multiplier
  • No-XP channels and no-XP roles
  • Voice XP with minimum-humans guard (no solo farming) and AFK-channel exemption
  • Level-reward roles (stack mode or highest-only with lower-tier removal)
  • Prestige system (reset at max level for permanent XP boost + stars on rank card)
  • Weekly XP tracking with /levels weekly
  • PIL rank card with custom background, accent color, progress bar, and prestige stars
  • Custom level-up messages with placeholders
  • One-click MEE6 import that never downgrades anyone
  • Optional public web leaderboard at pkbotportal.cc/leaderboard.html

Suggestions

PANEL Community > Social Features > Suggestions. COMMANDS /suggest

Members submit suggestions via slash command. The bot posts an embed with upvote/downvote buttons and staff approve/deny/set-status controls. When staff approve or deny a suggestion, voting is locked: buttons are removed, reactions cleared, and further vote attempts are blocked.

Star Board

PANEL Community > Social Features > Star Board

When a message gets enough star reactions (configurable threshold), it's reposted to a starboard channel. Configurable emoji, threshold, and whether to ignore bot messages or self-stars.

Confessions

PANEL Community > Social Features > Confessions

Anonymous confessions posted via a slash command. The bot posts the confession in a designated channel with no attribution. Staff can reveal the author if needed for moderation.

Birthdays

PANEL Community > Birthdays. COMMANDS /birthday set

Members set their birthday. The bot announces in a configured channel and optionally grants a birthday role for the day (removed after). Custom message with {user}, {username}, {age} placeholders.

Counting

PANEL Community > Counting

Members count up sequentially (1, 2, 3...). Wrong number or counting twice in a row resets to zero. Tracks high scores. Configurable channel and optional same-user allowance.

Question of the Day

PANEL Community > QOTD

Build a question bank in the panel, set a daily post time (EST), and the bot auto-posts one question per day. Cycles through the bank. Optional role ping and auto-thread creation for discussion.

Giveaways

PANEL Content & Support > Giveaways. COMMANDS /giveaway start /giveaway end /giveaway reroll

Timed giveaways with configurable prize, winner count, and duration. Members enter by clicking a button. Auto-draws winners when the timer expires. Reroll available.

Polls

COMMANDS /poll

Create polls with up to 10 options. Members vote via button. Results shown in real time.

Join Gate / Captcha

PANEL Community > Join Gate

Require new members to verify before getting access. Two modes: button click (simple) or math captcha (solve a problem via a Discord modal). Posts a verification panel in a channel with a configurable message. Passing grants a verified role.

Rules Gate

PANEL Community > Rules Gate

Post your server rules with an "I Agree" button. Members must accept to get a role and access. Configurable rules text, button label, and access role. Different from Join Gate (this is rule acceptance, not verification).

Ticket System

PANEL Content & Support > Tickets. COMMANDS /ticket /ticket close

Full ticket system with channel and DM modes:

  • Multiple ticket types, each with its own category, staff roles, and close-log channel
  • Auto-pull Discord info and cases when a ticket opens
  • Configurable action buttons (quick responses)
  • Auto follow-up message per type
  • Per-type transcript toggle (DM transcript to user on close or not)
  • Ticket claim system for staff
  • SLA alerts (notify when response time exceeds threshold)
  • Post-close feedback with 1-5 star rating
  • Analytics tab: open by type, avg close time, staff leaderboard

Application Forms

PANEL Content & Support > Application Forms

Create forms with up to 5 questions. Members click an "Apply" button, fill out a Discord modal, and the submission posts to a review channel with Accept/Deny buttons. Accepting grants a role and DMs the member. Multiple forms per server, each independently openable/closable.

Embed Studio

PANEL Content & Support > Content Tools > Embed Studio

Visual embed builder. Set title, description, color, fields, thumbnail, image, author, footer. Live preview. Send to any channel or edit an existing embed message.

Announcements & Scheduled Posts

PANEL Content & Support > Content Tools > Announcements / Scheduled Posts

Post embeds immediately or schedule them for a specific date and time. The bot checks the schedule every 45 seconds and posts when it's time.

Custom Commands

PANEL Content & Support > Custom Commands

Text-triggered responses. Define a trigger word (e.g. !rules) and a response (text, embed, or both). Supports {user}, {username}, {server}, {channel} placeholders. Optional delete-trigger. Per-command enable/disable.

Auto Responder

PANEL Community > Social Features > Auto Responder

Keyword-based auto-replies. When a message contains a configured keyword, the bot responds with a configured message. Match modes: contains, exact, starts with.

Auto-Publish

PANEL Content & Support > Auto-Publish

Automatically crosspost messages in Discord announcement/news channels so followers in other servers see them instantly. Enable globally or limit to specific channels.

Temp Voice

PANEL Content & Support > Temp Voice. COMMANDS /voice

Two hub types: Custom (each member gets their own named room) and General (one shared room, created when someone joins, deleted when empty). Multiple hubs supported, each in its own category. Members can rename, set limits, lock/unlock, and manage their own room.

Stat Counters

PANEL Server > Stat Counters

Voice channels that display live server stats (auto-renamed). Select any channel, set a template, and pick counters from a visual card-based picker. 15+ counter types: members, online, offline, humans, bots, roles, channels, text/voice channels, categories, boosts, boost level, member goals, and category-scoped counters (channels/members within a specific category). Live preview shows what the channel name will look like.

Auto Wipe

PANEL Server > Auto Wipe

Multiple channels, each with its own schedule. Three schedule types: interval (every X minutes), daily (set time in EST), weekly (specific days + time). Pinned and sticky messages are always preserved.

Leave of Absence

PANEL Community > Leave of Absence. COMMANDS /loa request /loa return

Staff members can request a leave of absence with a reason and expected return date. LOA requests are tracked with auto-expiry notifications.

Reminders

COMMANDS /remind /reminders list

Personal reminders. Set a time and message, and the bot DMs you when it's due.

Global Ban Network

PANEL Moderation > Global Bans & Relay. COMMANDS /mod ban gbr

Cross-server ban sharing. When a user is banned in one server with a Global Ban Request, other servers in the network receive the report with evidence. Servers can independently choose to enforce or ignore. Evidence handling, staff review, and relay channels built in.

Appeals

PANEL Moderation > Appeals

Banned users can submit appeals. Staff review appeals from the panel or Discord with accept/deny. Configurable appeal form and review channel.

Age Verification

COMMANDS /ageverify setup /verify

Members submit a selfie holding a dated note plus a photo of their ID. Peacekeeper assists staff by estimating the person's age, confirming a valid date note is present, detecting photos of screens or printed photos, and flagging images that look AI-generated or deepfaked.

Every submission is reviewed by a human staff member. The bot never auto-approves anyone. The automated analysis is an assistive signal that helps staff decide faster, but the final Approve or Deny is always a manual decision. Denials require a reason, which is saved to the member's case history. All photos are automatically deleted after the decision.

You control which roles can review tickets: in the Age Verify panel, pick the reviewer roles that are allowed to see and act on incoming verification tickets. Those roles get access to each new review channel and are the only ones (besides admins) who can approve or deny.

Cross-Server Verification

If your server is part of the Peacekeeper partner network, members who have already verified their age in another partner server get approved automatically when they run /ageverify - no photos required.

On approval, Peacekeeper grants the verified role, removes the unverified gate role (if configured), and removes the FLAGGED quarantine role (if the member has it). No staff action needed.

Alt Account Detection

PANEL Moderation > Alt Detection

Automatically scores new accounts when they join your server. Signals: account created today (+40), account 1-3 days old (+30), no avatar (+15), username ends with 4+ digits (+10), very short username (+8), and join velocity (5+ accounts in 5 minutes = +20). When the total hits your configured threshold, the configured action fires: log only, assign a role, timeout, kick, or ban.

Alert embeds show the exact score and which signals fired so staff can review borderline cases. All actions are logged.

Captcha Verification

PANEL Community > Captcha

Stops raid bots by making new members solve a distorted image captcha before they can access the server. The fastest way to set it up is the Set it up for me button, which creates a Verified role and a #verify channel and posts the captcha panel automatically. It won't lock or change your existing channels. If you want members to lose a role when they verify (like an Unverified role), set that in the "Role removed on success" field in the panel.

You can customize the captcha length, image size, font size, and character set (letters, letters and numbers, or numbers only), and toggle decoy trace lines, under-characters, and scattered dots to make it harder for scripts. Set how many attempts a member gets and what happens if they run out (nothing, kick, or ban), plus an optional log channel that records who verifies.

Economy System

COMMANDS /economy balance /economy daily /economy work /economy shop /economy rob /economy heist /economy transfer

PANEL Community > Economy

A full NETRUNNER-themed economy: members earn bits with a daily stipend and jobs, spend them in a per-server black market shop, rob each other, run group heists, and deploy passive-income exploits. Ranks climb from Script Kiddie to Zero based on lifetime earnings.

From the Economy panel you can set the currency symbol and name, starting balance, daily amount, work payout range and cooldown, rob cooldown and success chance, and turn robbing, heists, and transfers on or off. You can also disable the whole economy or restrict it to a single channel. Server admins manage the shop catalog with /economy shopadmin additem and removeitem.

Global vs standalone: By default, balances are shared across every server using Peacekeeper, so members carry their bits between servers. If an admin uses /economy give or /economy set to manually adjust credits, that server permanently switches to a standalone economy with its own separate balances. Staff get a confirmation warning before this happens, and it cannot be undone.

Twitch & YouTube Notifications

COMMANDS /notify twitch [username] /notify youtube [channel_id] /notify list

PANEL Community > Notifications

Get notified when a Twitch streamer goes live or a YouTube channel uploads a new video. Peacekeeper checks every 5 minutes. Set a post channel, one or more mention roles, and an optional custom message per subscription. Each stream or video is announced exactly once - Peacekeeper remembers what it posted even across restarts, so nothing gets announced twice. Twitch embeds show the stream title, game, and viewer count. YouTube embeds show the video title and thumbnail.

Requires TWITCH_CLIENT_ID + TWITCH_TOKEN environment variables for Twitch, or YOUTUBE_API_KEY for YouTube (set by your server admin).

Support Chat & Bug Reports

Every page of the web panel has a chat button in the bottom corner. Click it to start a support conversation or report a bug. If a staff member is online you'll get a live reply in real time; if not, your message is saved and staff respond in the same thread when they're back. You can reopen the widget any time to see replies.

Staff members reply from the Support tab in the staff panel, where they can toggle themselves online or offline. Users see "Staff online" whenever at least one staff member is online there. Developers can set which Discord channel gets pinged for new messages with /support inbox.

Support Tickets

COMMANDS /support close /support addmember /support info

Server staff can open a support ticket from the /help command. Click Contact Support, describe your issue, and a private channel opens in your server where our support team can help you directly. Messages and images relay both ways. Close the ticket when resolved and the channel is deleted automatically.

This system is for server staff only. Regular members can't access it.

Command Permissions & Hiding

PANEL Server > Command Permissions

Staff commands are hidden from regular members automatically. Members who don't have the required Discord permission simply won't see /mod, /ban, /tickets, /setup, /config, and 60+ other staff commands in the command picker - they won't even know they exist.

Server admins can grant specific roles access to commands those roles wouldn't normally see (e.g. give a @Moderator role access to /mod even if they don't have Manage Messages server-wide). Set this up in the Command Permissions panel page.

Softban

COMMANDS /ban soft @member [days] [reason]

Bans a member, deletes their recent messages (1-7 days configurable), then immediately unbans them. The member can rejoin right away - the ban is only used to clear their messages. Creates a case, DMs the member, and posts to the mod log. Useful for clearing spam or offensive content without permanently removing the member.
