User Guide
Everything Peacekeeper can do, briefly explained.
Setup
Add Peacekeeper to your server using the invite link on the homepage. It needs Administrator permission to function fully. Once it joins, it posts a welcome message with a link to the dashboard.
Setup happens in the web dashboard at pkbotportal.cc/dashboard.html. Log in with Discord, pick your server, and a first-time setup wizard walks you through log channels, your mod role, and one-click protection in about a minute. Running /setup in Discord points you to the same place.
Dashboard
PANEL The web dashboard lets you configure every feature without slash commands. It includes Overview (server stats), Health Check (bot status), Analytics (message/member charts), and Audit Log (who changed what in the panel).
Multiple admins can use the dashboard simultaneously. Changes save instantly and the bot picks them up within seconds.
Warns, Bans & Kicks
COMMANDS /mod warn /mod ban /mod kick /mod unban
Every mod action creates a numbered case with the moderator's name, reason, and timestamp. The target user gets a DM with the server name, reason, case number, and expiry (if timed).
Cases are searchable from the panel under Cases & Tools, or via /cases search. You can also use Member Lookup on the panel to see a user's full history.
Mutes & Timeouts
COMMANDS /mod timeout 2h /mod mute 2h /mod unmute
Timeout uses Discord's native timeout. The user can't type, react, or join voice. Auto-expires.
Mute uses a configurable mute role. Set the role in the panel under Moderation > Mute Role. Timed mutes auto-remove the role when the duration expires (checked every 30 seconds). Use /mod unmute to lift early.
Both types create a case and DM the user.
Case System
COMMANDS /cases search /cases view /cases edit /mod note
PANEL Cases & Tools page with searchable history, bulk actions, and member lookup.
Every warn, ban, kick, mute, timeout, and note is stored as a numbered case. Cases include the moderator, target, reason, timestamp, and expiry. Staff can add notes to a user without punishing them using /mod note.
AutoMod
PANEL Protection > AutoMod. COMMANDS /automod
Rule-based message filtering. Each rule type can be independently enabled with its own action (delete, warn, mute, timeout, kick, ban):
- Invite links - blocks Discord invite links
- External links - blocks links outside a whitelist
- Bad words - custom word/phrase blacklist with wildcard matching
- Mass mentions - limits mentions per message
- Caps lock - blocks excessive capitalization
- Spam / repeated messages - detects flooding
- Emoji spam - limits emoji per message
- Zalgo text - blocks glitch/corrupted text
Each rule has per-channel and per-role exemptions. The gear icon on each rule opens its detailed config.
Scam Filter
PANEL Protection > Scam Filter
Staff-fed pattern library that catches known scam bots, phishing links, and malicious URLs. Add, remove, and view patterns from the panel. Messages matching a pattern are deleted and the user is actioned.
Honeypot Channels
PANEL Protection > Honeypot
Designate channels as traps. Any message posted in a honeypot channel triggers instant punishment (ban/kick/mute). Useful for catching bots and raiders that spam every channel they can see. Legitimate users won't post in a channel named "do not post here."
Anti-Nuke
PANEL Moderation > Anti-Nuke
Monitors Discord's audit log for mass destructive actions. If someone bans, kicks, deletes channels, or deletes roles faster than your configured thresholds (e.g. 5 bans in 10 seconds), Peacekeeper strips all their roles and optionally bans them.
The server owner is always exempt. You can add trusted roles that bypass detection. Configurable thresholds per action type, detection window, and punishment (strip only or strip + ban).
Infraction Points
PANEL Content & Support > Infraction Points. COMMANDS /infractions add /infractions thresholds
Point-based warning system. Staff add points to a user with a reason. When a member hits a configured threshold, an automatic action fires (mute, kick, or ban). Points can decay over time.
Lockdown
COMMANDS /lockdown /unlock
Instantly locks the current channel or the entire server by removing send-message permissions from @everyone. Use /unlock to restore. Useful during raids or emergencies.
Event Logging
PANEL Server > Logging
28 individual event types, each routed to its own channel. If no channel is set for an event, it's not logged. No flooding, no defaults, full control. Event types include:
- Moderation - warns, bans, kicks, mutes, timeouts, unmutes, mod notes, automod triggers, scam filter
- Messages - edits, deletes (shows who deleted: Peacekeeper, a mod, or self-delete), bulk deletes
- Members - joins (with invite code + inviter), leaves (with roles held), role changes, nickname changes, avatar changes, username changes, bans, unbans
- Voice - joins, leaves, moves (shows who moved them if a mod did it)
- Server - channel create/delete, role create/delete, invite create
Every embed includes the actor's avatar, name, and ID. Admin actions show who performed them (pulled from Discord's audit log). Ignored channels can be set to exclude bot-spam channels.
Reaction Roles
PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles > Reaction
Full embed-editor builder. Design the embed (title, description, color, images), pick reaction or button style, add unlimited emoji-to-role bindings. Three behavior modes: Toggle (add/remove), Unique (one role per user), Verify (grant only). Supports max-roles-per-user caps.
Active messages listed with Edit (loads config back, edits the live message) and Delete. Emoji resolver handles unicode characters, Discord shortcodes (e.g. :shield:), and custom server emojis.
Auto-Role
PANEL Roles > Auto-Role
Automatically assign roles to new members when they join. Pick one or more roles, set an optional delay (useful for bypassing Discord's membership screening), and toggle whether bots should be skipped.
Self-Assign Roles
PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles (subtabs: Reaction, Color, Location, Role Perks)
Multiple self-assign systems: reaction roles (above), color role picker, location/region roles (continent-based with emoji reactions), and a pronoun picker builder. Each posts an embed with interactive controls for members to self-assign.
Sticky Roles
PANEL Roles > Sticky Roles
When a member leaves and rejoins, their roles are automatically restored. Toggle "sticky all" or pick specific roles. Peacekeeper saves the member's non-managed roles on leave and re-applies them on rejoin, respecting the role hierarchy.
Color Roles
PANEL Roles > Self-Assign Roles > Color
Members pick a color from a posted panel. Each color is mapped to a role. Selecting a new color removes the old one. Can be restricted to boosters only.
Welcome & Goodbye
PANEL Community > Welcome (subtabs: Welcome & Goodbye, Welcome DM)
Configurable welcome and goodbye messages with embed support and placeholders ({user}, {username}, {server}, {member_count}). Optional welcome card/banner (PIL-rendered image with custom background, accent color, name text). Welcome DM sends a private message to new members.
